Chai Coffee

In your coffee pot, place water, filter, and coffee grounds as usual. On top of coffee grounds, add about a teaspoon of each of the following:

allspice
cardamom
nutmeg
cinnamon

Place 2 or 3 whole cloves (can be substituted with a dash or two of ground cloves) with the coffee grounds as well.

Brew coffee as usual.

As coffee is brewing, prepare your mug. Pour about a tablespoon of honey and a dash of milk (to taste) in mug. Heat in microwave for about 30 seconds.

When coffee finishing brewing, pour over warm honey and milk. Stir and enjoy.

Thank you to coffee, deep breaths, goals and grace for the idea.

Watermelon Limeade

It is blazing hot in the deep south right now! The first week of June has brought us temperatures above 100 degrees. It is hard to believe, but sure does make me grateful for air-conditioning!

One way that I have chosen to fight the heat is with this yummy summer drink. Watermelon is in season and is a favorite treat of my family. So why not make it into a cold drink? To make this drink, follow this link!

Iced Coffee

I've been on an iced coffee binge lately. I alternate back and forth between the regular caffeine kind and the decaf kind. Either way, its yummy. I make mine with artificial sweetener, french vanilla creamer and sugar-free chocolate syrup. These modifications and adding more water to my daily water regimen makes it fairly guilt-free for me. I use it as a "snack" when I am craving something yummy, and it helps to fill my tummy and tide me over until the next meal. Plus, did I mention that its yummy?

Here's the original recipe that got me started (it's another Andrea Howard recipe). Enjoy your iced coffee!
